Many fans of Star Wars know explosions and Star Wars, and few know how Hollywood came up with such fantastic characters as Rebel Wilson. In the first scenes of Rogue Nation, we do not know who this character is, he is in a wheelchair. We later learn that it is General Leia Organa, and she is the leader of the rebellion. One of the most amazing things that I have seen in recent days is the movie The Fourth Awakens. The lead character, Daisy Ridley, plays a character whose appearance does not match her character in the new films.
How did Rebel Wilson lose weight? She does not look like she is going to use steroids or other weight loss aid to lose the weight, but we do see that she does work hard, and that helps. Her weight loss comes from working out. She has a gym set at home, and she does a variety of exercises there.
When she first started filming the movie, she was not in the best shape, but she put in a lot of hard work and followed the trainers' advice, and the weight came off. She had slimmed down prior to filming, but in the movie, she looks fit and trim. During the reshoots, when producers needed a fast way to get her in better shape for the film, they asked her to do the exercises that the fitness trainer did. She did a few sit-ups, a couple of push ups, and then one leg raise she claimed was more difficult than the others. This leg lift is actually harder than most, but it works, and apparently it does burn more calories.
Later in the film, when she has to go to Cymilium to visit her aunt, she does not want to miss her cousin's arrival, so she does a cork floating leg raise, as stated by Rebel herself. As soon as the camera cuts to Cymilium, Willem Dafoe says "Is this a new trick?" No, it is actually very old fashioned, but Dafoe wants to look tough for Auntie. I guess you could say she went into the movie looking for a way to lose weight and look good at the same time. Willem Dafoe did not want to look like someone on the weight loss program, he wanted to look as natural as possible. So he did the leg raise.
The leg lift was performed without any equipment. Willem did it because it was his only choice, and it worked really well. Rebel was also able to do the same exercises without using weights. There is no way to know how much weight Willem actually lost during the actual filming of the film, but he definitely lost weight. He was always very careful with his nutrition and had maintained a healthy diet even while filming The Secret, so he must have benefited from the exercise he performed while avoiding the use of any equipment. He probably could have done these exercises while standing on a chair.
In The Secret, when Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character asks Cymilium how he looks like, Cymilium replies "Like a fat guy who lost his mind." Although it is funny to imagine that, it does not undermine the accuracy of the character's statement. At one point in the film, Gordon-Levitt actually says "My face is covered with scars. It's not pretty."
This notion of "how did Rebel Wilson lose weight" is actually a very good one. We all know how easy it is to go on diets and spend lots of time exercising to lose weight. All this does is strip away all the hard work you put into your body. The most effective forms of weight loss usually require a combination of diet and exercise.
Some weight loss products do claim to offer a magical pill that helps you lose weight without having to do any work at all. However, these are often expensive, don't work, and scams to be avoided. No pharmaceutical company wants you to think that you can just take a pill for the rest of your life. Rebel Wilson did her research and found a healthy, all natural program that works.
